ABOUT THE ARTIST

LE BohemianMuse is a first-generation Ghanaian-American artist in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a storyteller, she uses abstract painting, writing, performing, and filmmaking to weave narratives. Through this persona, she revitalizes the influence that art has on life and society, using the creative force as a mirror to the joys and faults of humanity.

LE began exploring the ideas of creating new worlds through storytelling and did, with ease, finding ways to incorporate her stories into alternative mediums of art (Writing, Theatre, and Abstract Painting). Through her education at LMU (Loyola Marymount University), she learned about the different facets of art and majored in Theater and Studio Art. A year later she auditioned and was accepted to the British American Drama Academy (BADA) in Oxford, England, where she continued to study various theatrical art forms.

"I am LE BohemianMuse: a passionate and expressive artist, going against social convention. Through this persona, I revitalize the influence that art has on life and society, using the creative force to mirror the joys and faults of humanity.

In the “Play” series, I've been exploring various different techniques in painting and having fun enjoying the process of creation. Returning back to color after spending nearly two years with the “Rebel,” an experimental series where I went against my creative instinct, and put aside my former colorist style. With "Play," I am reaching back into my inner child, creating a body of work that personifyś no self judgment, doubt, and embodies joy, exploration and adventure.

Each painting I create is abstract and emotional. Through abstract art, I move beyond simplicity, and I am open to the complex. Seeing that life can, at moments, feel simple, our emotions are more intricate."—LE BohemianMuse
