Mike Sanchez is a contemporary artist whose work explores period-based objects, structures, and spaces. Using a blend of digital and analog photography, sculpture, and mixed media techniques, he constructs environments and artifacts that reside at the intersection of fantasy and historical documentation.

Raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mike earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of New Mexico. Growing up in the late '80s and experiencing the technological boom of the '90s and early 2000s profoundly influenced his passion for cinema, pop culture, and photography.

His artistic practice reflects this unique upbringing, merging nostalgia for vintage technology with elements of pop iconography, surrealism, and whimsy. The images and objects he creates transport viewers to places and times that feel both familiar and entirely unreal. Each piece invites exploration, encouraging viewers to discover their own connections to the past, present, and future.
