Voss Gallery presents "Reflect.Renew.Rebirth," a duo show featuring urban contemporary paintings by John Osgood and Steve Javiel that celebrate the innate human desire for reinvention and the boundless potential for personal evolution.
Join us for an Opening Reception with the artists this Friday, July 21st, 6-9 PM. The exhibition is on view through August 19, 2023. Gallery hours are Wednesday-Saturday, 12-6PM, or by appointment.
JOHN OSGOOD (b. 1977) is a contemporary urban artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. His work incorporates visual and stylistic elements of street art, graffiti, pop culture and cubism to depict the human condition. Osgood layers a combination of acrylic, aerosol, and oil paint on either canvas or wood panel to create his vibrant and textural paintings. This process-oriented approach mirrors the multifaceted nature of memory and the collective human experience. Osgood holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University with a minor in Fine Arts. He participates in exhibitions across the US and his murals can be found along the West Coast, UK, and Spain.
STEVE JAVIEL (b. Los Angeles, CA, 1981) is an urban impressionist painter based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA, and participates in exhibitions along the West Coast.
