“Being seen is a revolutionary act—and this project proves we’re not alone in that feeling.” – The Tracy Piper
Voss Gallery is proud to present “SEEN: Volume 4,” the fourth and most dynamic iteration of The Tracy Piper’s acclaimed community portrait series. This year marks a major milestone: 200 individuals have now participated in this vibrant, collective exploration of what it means to be seen.
Featuring 50 new eye paintings created in Spring 2025, “SEEN: Volume 4” turns the gallery into a living installation—each canvas accompanied by a personal reflection from its subject. Together, these works form a radiant mosaic of vulnerability, identity, and community connection. Their stories are compiled in “SEEN: Volume 4,” the artist’s fifth publication, now available for pre-order.
Join us for the artist reception and book signing on Friday, May 30th from 5-8PM—a one-night-only celebration where you’ll view all 50 new works, meet the artist, and connect with many of the real-life individuals featured in the portraits. With the artwork, stories, and subjects all in the same space, this event brings the project’s powerful message to life: that being seen—truly seen—is something worth celebrating.
In the words of The Tracy Piper: “This project has become my way of turning rain into rainbows. It’s how I show up for others in the way I once wished someone would show up for me. Cheers to four years. Cheers to us.”
