The "SEEN" Vol. 1 Capsule Collection by The Tracy Piper showcases 50 eye paintings created in October 2022. This collection is part of an ongoing collaborative art project called "SEEN," in which the artist initiates an open call for her collectors, fans, and fellow artists to participate as models. Participants are asked to reflect on the question: What does it mean to feel seen? The artist's second book, aptly named "SEEN," highlights each painting and response.
"Feeling seen comes with a sense of belonging and security. When I feel seen, I also feel accountable to being my authentic self. I want people to know me for me, to love me for me."—Clint Frederic Wiater
"It means for someone to see your parts both individually and as a sum all at once. Feeling seen is being accepted for who you were, who you are, and who you will be all at once in this moment in time."—Bec Lynn
"It feels privileged to be seen by someone because it means someone is interested in your life. Like me, being a mom of 4. Not everyone has the privilege to have 4 children. They want to know what it's like to have 4 kids… how to manage, give attention, and give love equally."—Jacquelyn Fernandez
"To be acknowledged and supported as the person you are. To be seen doesn’t always have to mean you are understood—but to have those around you be present in those moments they are with you or when you are expressing yourself (verbally, physically, through art, etc.)"—Brit Finnegan
