ABOUT THE WORK

"As a foreigner, I arrived in SF and was captivated by its beauty, hills, and fog. There were some cultural shocks here and there, but the people and the city made me love SF even more. I was supposed to stay for 5 months, but it's been 12 years, and now I'm married with a baby.

The piece represents my initial impression of the city: the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge, its ever-changing fog, and the iconic hills symbolize my journey into this new city and culture—always learning, always adapting. It has been a huge learning curve for sure."—Ferran Torras

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ferran is a multi-disciplinary artist from Catalonia with a background in design and illustration. He grew up in a small rural town near the French border and studied art and design in Barcelona. 

Always eager to find new means of expression, his style comes in many different forms and is always evolving, most recently through experimentation with the art of collage. His work conveys a feeling of nostalgia through simple and naive compositions using mixed media such as pencil, photographs and old paper.

Now based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Ferran founded Wall and Wall mural painting company in 2015 and has worked with clients such as Capital One, Kiva, WeWork, Google, and Facebook. As a muralist, he combines the worlds of art and technology to create immersive interactive experiences.

HANGING & CARE

Artwork is ready to hang on the wall; hanging wire is secured on the back (nail and hook needed). Dust raw canvas with a clean, soft brush and HEPA-filtered vacuum to clean. Using a new, clean brush prevents transfer of grime from previous dustings.
