ABOUT THE ARTIST

"Hello! My name is Varsha Suresh and I am an integrative painter, photographer, and designer based out of the lovely Bushwick neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York City.

Being deeply inspired by the areas of convergence between the human and natural worlds, I wake up every day with a feverish desire to weave and portray stories about the same. Gouache and watercolor paints, 35mm film, and the blessed camera on my mobile phone are some of the many mediums I use.

Research and planning are at the core of my artistic ritual and this typically includes spending hours at a local public library reading books about the history of sidewalk trees, walking aimlessly on the city streets with enough pauses to absorb all that she has to offer, immersing myself in natural spaces surrounded by critters, and traveling as much as my wallet can support me.

HANGING & CARE

Artwork is ready to hang on the wall; hanging wire is secured on the back (nail and hook needed). Dust raw canvas with a clean, soft brush and HEPA-filtered vacuum to clean. Using a new, clean brush prevents transfer of grime from previous dustings.
