"My piece is about wonder. An exploration of the imaginative process of letting go while creating. With this body of work I explored with non-stop movement, and allowing myself to just enjoy the process rather than to over think it. Each piece is titled by how the piece in the end made me feel, so I used the first words that came to mind to name it. " —LE BohemianMuse
ABOUT THE ARTIST
LE BohemianMuse is a first-generation Ghanaian-American artist in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a storyteller, she uses abstract painting, writing, performing, and filmmaking to weave narratives. Through this persona, she revitalizes the influence that art has on life and society, using the creative force to mirror the joys and faults of humanity.
With her abstract paintings, each piece she creates is complex and aggressively displays emotional struggle, doubt, and hope. LE is moved beyond simplicity and open to the complex, within her abstract work. She uses mediums such as acrylic paint, molding and cracking paste, and other various multi-mediums to create movement in the paintings.
