ABOUT THE ARTIST

"Ever since my first drawing lesson from my grandmother at the age of six, I have felt the need to practice art. I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University in 2013, where I concentrated in Visual Art and International Development. This course of study allowed me to deepen my painting and photography practices while doing multimedia ethnography research that was directly applicable to my key informant and mentor in Guatemala. In 2014, I took a 4-month solo road trip from RI to CA exploring internal and external landscapes and fell in love with the ocean in the Ramaytush Ohlone homeland now known as San Francisco. I have built an interdisciplinary career, from social impact startups to managing a Buddhist meditation center for 3 years, and this work has informed the concepts behind my artistic vision. After completing the MBA in Design Strategy at CCA in May 2020, I immediately started full-time work as a remote consultant and then a CDO at a BCorp startup. I struck out on my own in June 2022, grounded in the mission of more closely tying my art and social impact work together."—Sarah Grimm

Artwork is ready to hang on the wall; hanging wire is secured on the back (nail and hook needed). Dust raw canvas with a clean, soft brush and HEPA-filtered vacuum to clean. Using a new, clean brush prevents transfer of grime from previous dustings.
